Creekside Elementary School Site Development Project- Effingham County Board of Education

JW Oliver Construction played a key role in the site development of the new Creekside Elementary School in Effingham County, delivering critical infrastructure improvements to support the construction of the school campus and associated facilities.

The project included comprehensive site preparation and roadway construction activities, consisting of earthwork operations, grading, installation of curb and gutter, construction of aggregate base, and asphalt paving. A major component of the project involved the excavation, hauling, and placement of approximately 150,000 cubic yards of onsite material to establish building pads, parking areas, athletic facilities, and roadway infrastructure. Crews performed extensive cut-and-fill operations to achieve final grades, improve site drainage, and provide stable foundations for future development.

Additional work included the construction of internal roadways, parking lots, and pedestrian access areas, all designed to accommodate daily school operations and to ensure safe access for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The project required coordination of earthmoving, utility installation, and paving operations to maintain project schedules and enable ongoing vertical construction.

Through effective project management, quality workmanship, and a dedication to safety, JW Oliver Construction successfully delivered the site improvements necessary to support the opening of this important educational facility. Upon completion, the project delivered a durable, well-constructed site infrastructure system that will serve Effingham County’s educational needs for years to come.
